What Is A Creeper In Minecraft?

For parents not versed in Minecraft, a Mincraft Creeper is a common monster in the game. It creeps around silently and blows up when it nears the player, damaging the player and the surrounding area.

Instructions for Toilet Roll Minecraft Creeper Paper Craft

Step 1

Step 1 - Minecraft Creeper Craft for Kids Made from Toilet Paper Roll - 3 toilet paper rolls with slits shown with small box
You don’t need wooden planks for this or a crafting table! Just toilet paper rolls and a box.

Make two slits in two of the toilet rolls (the legs), and slot in the third toilet roll (the body) to stack on top.

Step 2 - Minecraft Creeper Craft for Kids Made from Toilet Paper Roll - how to arrange the toilet paper rolls and boxes to make a minecraft creeper and then shown painted green
Make one of your favorite Minecraft characters by cutting slits into the cardboard and paint your Creeper green.

Glue the small box on top for the head, and paint the entire character green.

Step 3

Step 3 - Minecraft Creeper Craft for Kids Made from Toilet Paper Roll - add craft paper squares with glue
Add stickers and a face to your creeper! This is such a cute craft.

When the creeper is dry, invite your child to cut the craft paper into squares! Then pour some craft glue into a dish and get busy.

Finished MineCraft Creeper Craft

At the end of all the cutting, gluing, and character building – a Minecraft Creeper will emerge! You don’t need a low light source for your own Creeper to spawn! What a great way to use up some craft supplies like recycled items and acrylic paint and keep Minecraft game lovers busy.

Use the same Creeper craft technique to expand the characters to include your child’s favorite Minecraft animals and villagers. And use blocks to build a cardboard Minecraft world right on your table…. instead of on your phone or tablet.

More Minecraft Craft Variation Ideas

This is a fun way to get engaged in something your child enjoys. You don’t need gold ingots, end rods, a red mushroom, or magma blocks to enjoy these crafts. (Those are items from the video game.)

You can even use this Minecraft Creeper setup to make other Minecraft items like an armor stands, diy Minecraft swords, or use boxes and paint to make your own Minecraft world, one that doesn’t involve a screen.

I have to admit this toilet roll Minecraft character came about accidentally! I set about making a robot and just before I attached the arms my daughter screeched “it’s a creeper”, so who was I to argue with that?
